4D School Quality Mark and Accreditation - Watch this space!
With over 500 schools now signed up to our 4D programme and motivation from schools to become dyslexia friendly at an all time high, it's timely for the quality mark and accreditation process to take some fresh steps.
Esther Whitehead and her 4D team have been hard at work over the last few months creating the process and the supporting materials that will enable schools to achieve accreditation and become a 4D/Best Practice School. Check out our new Frequently Asked Questions page - click here.
Based on principles of empowerment, collaboration and self-review, the revolutionary 4D programme was designed in consultation with international dyslexia expert Neil Mackay. It provides access to a national and international framework of learnings, insights and advice which can both make life easier in the classroom for teachers and improve learning outcomes for students.
4D | For Dyslexia - which also stands for 4 Difference and 4 Diversity - extends the common perception of three dimensions to embrace a fourth dimension based on creativity. This fourth dimension is likened to a dyslexic or atypical way of thinking which can offer great creative gifts if addressed correctly.
The 4D Schools programme is designed to support new thinking on dyslexia and difference in the Kiwi classroom, and help teachers take the simple steps necessary to ensure students harness their potential.
