Christchurch event advisory – legendary John Britten motorbikes on display tomorrow only!

If you live in Christchurch – or have friends and family in the city – we would like to let you know about a very special event tomorrow. Please feel free to pass these details onto friends or family who live locally.

From 11am-3pm tomorrow, one of the late John Britten’s rarely seen prototype motorbikes will be on display in Christchurch, alongside the legendary Britten V1000 bike that was the end result. The Britten V1000 still holds four land speed records and is world renowned for design and engineering prowess.

New Zealander John Britten embodied the kind of creative spirit and achievement that can be characteristic of the dyslexic mind. His widow Kirsteen Britten, a Davis Dyslexia Facilitator, will be on hand tomorrow to discuss John’s work and dyslexia.

Kirsteen, who is dyslexic herself, is also one of the key contributors to our new Inspiring New Zealanders webpage - full of incredible stories of New Zealanders who have risen above challenges to achieve great success. Click here to read more.

Weather permitting, the Britten bike exhibition will take place at the Dyslexia Discovery Exhibit, 21 Worcester Boulevard, Christchurch, from 11am-3pm Saturday 20 June. Further information on this event can be found by clicking on the events link here.

Kind regards
